In this video I dyed my hair red. I chose not to lift it in order to see exactly how the Creme of Nature Box color would take. I show you guys how I mix and apply the color, along with the final results.

Hello Guys:) This is my tutorial on how I do my avocado deep conditioner. I LOVE LOVE LOVE doing this conditioner, it leaves my hair really soft and shiny and it also gives my curls a lot of definition. You guys know that I am all about using natural products on my hair, and an avocado is a great way to put moisture back into your hair. I also noticed that after rinsing out the mix that my scalp was clean!! I don't think it can get better than that!! I hope you guys enjoyed the video and see you next week:)
P.S. Be sure to SUBSCRIBE!!!!!!!!!

Hey lovelies! Today I oil rinsed my hair for the first time (though I think it's about the same as doing a hot oil treatment). I decided to rinse my hair twice with the oil mixture. The first time I used it alone (without conditioner) to see how my hair felt and it felt soft. The second time I used it with the conditioner. It definitely gave me more slip and made my hair more manageable.

Oils used:
Avocado Oil
Jojoba Oil
Grapeseed Oil
Monoi Oil

DISCLAIMER! NATURAL HAIR MISTAKE, you're supposed to shampoo your hair FIRST then condition. I'll probably post an updated video on that but this would be my full usual routine but instead shampooing first, sorry guys, hope you liked the video anyway x

Hair products: (You can get these products from your local supply
store which I did for more affordable prices)

My hair still suffers from heat damage from the past, so you might see some loose curls in the video but I hope my hair reverts back to more tighter curls everywhere! X

Hey Ladies!

2017 Update: I wash my hair at least once every 3 weeks. My regimen (which isn't really a regimen) has changed since the filming of this video:

1. I no longer do hot oil treatments. I detangle my hair in sections with a spray bottle that contains water, conditoner and some oil. I saturate my hair with enough of the mixture so that I can detangle easily with a wide tooth comb. After its all detangled, I keep the twists in and head to the shower!
2. I still wash my hair in sections…about 6 or 7.
3. I shampoo twice making sure to focus on cleaning the scalp very well
4. I try to deep condition during every wash and when I do I cover my hair with a hot wash cloth, wrap with plastic and cover with a towel to trap the heat. I leave that on for about 15 mins then rinse.
5. I style my hair in many different ways…I haven't styled my hair in two strand twists in forever. I will sometimes blowdry my hair to stretch it and style in big twists to wear a twist out.

I hope these tips are helpful to you!

Natural Hair: Henna on Natural Hair (Stretches Type 4C Hair…Say what?)

Natural Hair: Henna on Natural Hair (Stretches Type 4C Hair…Say what?) So in this video we will see my first encounter with Henna on Type 4C Hair . Henna has been claimed to give hair super moisture, stretch, bounce, shine and strength. Did my hair get all this well ummm some but not all. However, I have a feeling the more I do it the better. Also I think my mix was too simple for the results I was looking for. So this video simply show the process. Enjoy!!!!!

Sooo about Henna….
KinkyKoilyMe States:
Pros, Cons & Other Effects of Henna:
Henna has some undeniable benefits for hair, which is why so many people use it and love it.

Some of these pros include:

Stronger Hair – The lawsone (dye) molecule penetrates the hair shaft, binding with the keratin in the hair. This makes hair stronger, but also is one of the qualities that makes henna removal near impossible. Henna also coats the hair and fills in rough spots on a frayed cuticle. This adds a second layer of strength, but it DOES NOT lock out moisture.

Smoother, Shinier Hair – Henna, as stated above, does coat the hair, but it is a permeable coating that does not lock moisture out. The henna helps fill in rough spots on the cuticle. With the cuticle rough edges smoothed over, the hair feels smoother and the cuticle takes a lot less damage during combing and manipulation. It takes several days for Henna to stabilize. It becomes more flexible and durable as it oxidizes and cures–it is in fact a plant resin that is flexible and solvent enough to penetrate the hair at the cuticle, carrying pigment with it.

Non-Fading Red – Anyone that has used red chemicals dyes knows how badly they fade. Henna may fade a little after the first application, but after the second application fades very little.

The Absence of Chemicals – Chemical dyes are not only VERY damaging to hair, they can also cause scalp burns, allergic reactions, and recently studies have linked long term use to cancer.
