After years of relaxers, coloring, and straightening my hair daily, my hair was in it's worse state by 2009. In 2012 I decided to do my first big chop and I have been nurturing my natural hair back to health ever since. My goal length is waist length. I am currently at BSL (bra strap length).

Relaxed Vs Natural Hair: Chemical & Heat Damage

My Newest Routine:

My hair was still curly (while it was relaxed), because 1. I wouldn't leave them on for long 2. I never overlapped my relaxers 3. I would get them about every 6 months. Even though it was long (and slightly curly) it was unhealthy and the longest that it was able to get was bra strap length. My relaxed hair pictures go in chronological (as best as I could), from 2006 to 2009 right before I relaxed. My present hair pictures range from 2014-2015/

Hi guys this is how I do my high puff
I am about 9 mo post relaxer
I always put pics on my blog just copy and past this link

I do my high puff while wet (see any of my wash and go videos)

will need some bobby pins
a goody stretchy headband which can be purchased at walmart, walgreens,target, cvs or any store
hair gel
a smoothing brush

I transitioned from relaxed to natural starting Sept 2011.

My big chop was Jan 2012.
