Natural hair needs moisture and a seal. Natural hair that is dry will break off, be damaged and you will lose length. Dry hair will eventually end up damaged, will split and end up breaking. (YIKES!) Dry hair is hair that does not contain enough moisture. I learned in Chicoro's book that hair currently damaged beyond recovery still has new hair emerging and growing so you can address and improve the issue of dry hair with knowledge, proper care and handling and use of the right products.
Thank you all so much for watching! I first noticed how drying my hair was when I traveled to Dallas, TX a month earlier. When I got there I immediately co-washed my hair and added a leave in conditioner and added a chunky twist style. I knew that I had to get some moisture to my hair and FAST yet I just didn't feel like doing my hair when I arrived home. Have you experienced this feeling since your hair has grown out?

The Baggy Method
Because my hair was so dry I also used the baggy method for a few days before I deep conditioned. At night I would spray my hair with water so it was slightly behind and added oil an a water-based moisturizer and then I covered my hair with a plastic cap and scarf while I slept.
Daily "Water" treatments
I spray my natural hair with water every single day. Water is the best source of moisture for natural hair and a daily dose of it will help keep your strands strong and moisturized.
How to Seal in Moisture
After I washed my hair, while still in the shower (with the water off) I sprayed my natural hair with 100% aloe vera juice and also applied my "Happy Hair Oil" that includes avocado oil, jojoba oil, almond oil, 100% vegetable glycerin, grapeseed oil, castor oil, a few drops of rosemary essential oil and more. You really just want to understand oil and how they affect your hair and just put them all together. You won't mess up!
