In this video I show you my dry natural hair curled with Curlformers. I washed, detangled and sectioned my hair in braids the night before. It was completely dry when I started. The products I used are Bee Mine Bee Hold Curly Butter and Ecostyler Gel (clear). I applied around 36 curlformers and let it set overnight. Removed in the morning and separated with coconut oil.

Hey Ladies!

2017 Update: I wash my hair at least once every 3 weeks. My regimen (which isn't really a regimen) has changed since the filming of this video:

1. I no longer do hot oil treatments. I detangle my hair in sections with a spray bottle that contains water, conditoner and some oil. I saturate my hair with enough of the mixture so that I can detangle easily with a wide tooth comb. After its all detangled, I keep the twists in and head to the shower!
2. I still wash my hair in sections…about 6 or 7.
3. I shampoo twice making sure to focus on cleaning the scalp very well
4. I try to deep condition during every wash and when I do I cover my hair with a hot wash cloth, wrap with plastic and cover with a towel to trap the heat. I leave that on for about 15 mins then rinse.
5. I style my hair in many different ways…I haven't styled my hair in two strand twists in forever. I will sometimes blowdry my hair to stretch it and style in big twists to wear a twist out.

I hope these tips are helpful to you!

Natural Hair: Henna on Natural Hair (Stretches Type 4C Hair…Say what?)

Natural Hair: Henna on Natural Hair (Stretches Type 4C Hair…Say what?) So in this video we will see my first encounter with Henna on Type 4C Hair . Henna has been claimed to give hair super moisture, stretch, bounce, shine and strength. Did my hair get all this well ummm some but not all. However, I have a feeling the more I do it the better. Also I think my mix was too simple for the results I was looking for. So this video simply show the process. Enjoy!!!!!

Sooo about Henna….
KinkyKoilyMe States:
Pros, Cons & Other Effects of Henna:
Henna has some undeniable benefits for hair, which is why so many people use it and love it.

Some of these pros include:

Stronger Hair – The lawsone (dye) molecule penetrates the hair shaft, binding with the keratin in the hair. This makes hair stronger, but also is one of the qualities that makes henna removal near impossible. Henna also coats the hair and fills in rough spots on a frayed cuticle. This adds a second layer of strength, but it DOES NOT lock out moisture.

Smoother, Shinier Hair – Henna, as stated above, does coat the hair, but it is a permeable coating that does not lock moisture out. The henna helps fill in rough spots on the cuticle. With the cuticle rough edges smoothed over, the hair feels smoother and the cuticle takes a lot less damage during combing and manipulation. It takes several days for Henna to stabilize. It becomes more flexible and durable as it oxidizes and cures–it is in fact a plant resin that is flexible and solvent enough to penetrate the hair at the cuticle, carrying pigment with it.

Non-Fading Red – Anyone that has used red chemicals dyes knows how badly they fade. Henna may fade a little after the first application, but after the second application fades very little.

The Absence of Chemicals – Chemical dyes are not only VERY damaging to hair, they can also cause scalp burns, allergic reactions, and recently studies have linked long term use to cancer.

Natural Hair Journey 4C Hair, from Relaxed to Natural Hair.

Hello Everyone and welcome to my new Channel, thank you for watching. I´m still new and still trying to figure out the whole Youtube thing, I´ll get better(my Videos will get better) I learn fast promise :).

I wanted to share with you all my Natural Hair Journey. I have been natural for almost four years now. The Video shows pictures of my Natural Hair Journey from around 2007/2008 to October 2016 ( That was my 3 & 1/2 years of being natural). I transitioned for 6-7 months ( I´m not sure because I did not transition on purpose). I will be four years natural this April 2017 yaaay.

This Natural Hair journey has been amazing to both me and my Hair. My Hair got healthy again and it is healthier than ever. I never thought I would be able to grow my Hair back again.
Thanks to all the Natural Women who shared their Journeys with us and inspired me to back to my Natural Hair.

I mainly have coarse 4C Hair, with some 4B in there and maybe more? My hair, just like other naturals as well, has more than one texture.
4C Hair can grow and it can be healthy and thick too, just embrace it. :)… My hair does not grow super fast, I would say average.
