DIY Barrel Twist on Short/Medium Locs

I was originally going to do a loc hawk, but my barrel twists/rolls didn't come out as good on the left side, as did the right side. I had to improvise a bit, but I managed to come up with a cute style. I left the barrel twists in on the right side and did two strand twists on the lefts side.

The next morning, I took the twist down and sat under the dryer for 10 minutes. Just to make sure that my twist stayed in since I did them on dry hair.

How To| Freeform Twist Locs

I started my locs 9/25/12 using the two strand twist method.
My locs are semi-freeform. Semi- freeforming your locs is different from freeforming.

Freeform locs also referred to as natural locs, involves the natural locking of the hair without any manipulation.
Semi-freeforming is when the locs are partially manipulated by pulling the locs apart or retwisting certain sections such as the hairline.

I love twists!! it is so easy to style:

In this video I have shown you 9 ways to style your twists. This style can also be done with braids and locs

Here are tips for other ways to style your twists:

High buns are a very popular style for twists. You can twist the ponytail and wrap into a bun to add a twist to this look!

Ponytails are a simple and easy way to style your twists. To create a more glam look wrap it with a beautiful silken scarf or attach a hair flower.

Twists are a great protective style for all hair types

Protective styles are designed to reduce the amount of stress placed on hair when you style, comb your hair

I recommend that you do not leave your twists in for more than 8 weeks as the longer the extensions are in your hair, the more likely it is to break
